Após algum tempo lendo os artigos e posts nos forums, esta engine parece ser bem trabalhada e muito recomendada para iniciantes no desenvolvimento de jogos para o Android.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Para fazer o checkout do código necessita de uma conta no Google, coisa que não é muito incomum hoje em dia. Depois precisei instalar o plugin Mercurial para o Eclipse, vc pode encontrar os passos de instalação nesse site: &lt;a href="http://www.javaforge.com/project/HGE#download"&gt;http://www.javaforge.com/project/HGE#download&lt;/a&gt;.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Depois de instalado precisará fazer o checkout do código, para isso precisa utilizar a URL apresentada no site do projeto do AndEngine.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;span style="font-style:italic;"&gt;https://andengine.googlecode.com/hg/&lt;/span&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Antes de fazer o checkout do código, definir uma estrutura de diretórios para seu desenvolvimento. Geralmente prefiro separar os códigos de frameworks e utilitários do código do jogo. Isso facilita a manutenção e agiliza a busca por determinados problemas no código.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Por exemplo: &lt;br /&gt;/lib/google/android/*.jar&lt;br /&gt;/lib/google/andengine/*.jar&lt;br /&gt;/src/main/java/*.java&lt;br /&gt;/src/main/resources/*.xml&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Mas isso é apenas uma sugestão, cada um pode definir o que achar de mais interessante para seu desenvolvimento ou que se sinta confortável.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Bom, no final do processo, deve ter gerado um clone do repositório do AndEngine no local definido por vc. &lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Depois disso, precisará gerar o binário (jar) que será importado em seu projeto. Para gerar o jar, vc precisará da biblioteca ant-contrib da Apache. Se vc não tem, como eu não tinha, precisará baixar neste &lt;a href="http://sourceforge.net/project/showfiles.php?group_id=36177"&gt;link&lt;/a&gt;. A princípio para desenvolver na plataforma Android, necessita de 3 coisas. &lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;1. JDK 5/6 (não basta ser o JRE)&lt;br /&gt;2. Vamos continuar com alguns pré-requisitos, um deles é o conhecimento da linguagem de programação C#.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;b&gt;&lt;i&gt;Se vc já conhece programação como a linguagem Java, vc vai perceber que não tem muito segredo. Apenas a sintaxe deve mudar, mas o conceito não muda, os modificadores são um pouco diferentes, mas nada que alguns minutos lendo o site abaixo que vc não consiga&lt;/i&gt;&lt;/b&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Caso não saiba nada de programação orientada à objetos, sugiro comprar livros especializados nesse assunto, pois o intuito deste blog não é explicar os conceitos da orientação à objetos e sim entender o processo e arquitetura do design de jogos em XNA.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;b&gt;E agora?&lt;/b&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Chega de blá,blá,blá. Pois com o tempo, irá perceber que não basta saber programar, mas conhecer diversos assuntos (focus, física, arquitetura, matemática) que podem alterar suas necessidades de utilizar determinada API ou determinada plataforma.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Muita gente prefere aprender sozinho, começar logo a programar e eu sou um deles. Geralmente, procuro alguns livros ou sites que possuem tutoriais. O intuito desse blog é auxiliar justamente nisso.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Geralmente quem quer desenvolver jogos, já pensa em desenvolver jogos em 3D, jogos como Need for Speed e acaba se decepcionando quando realmente tenta colocar a mão no código. Isso realmente acontece, é fato.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Primeiro porque desenvolver um jogo não é simplesmente aprender uma API e já começar a programar. Necessita de conhecimento em diversas áreas (matemática, física, inteligência artificial), principalmente quando se pretende desenvolver jogos como Call of Duty, Final Fantasy. &lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Mas vamos pensar que vc está pretendendo começar com jogos mais simples como Asteroids ou Pac-man. Neste caso, são jogos que não dependem de muitos fatores, só mesmo de vc. E esse é o intuito, explicar como iniciar o desenvolvimento.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Primeiro passo, configurar seu ambiente para desenvolvimento. O XNA que está em sua versão 4.0, está conquistando cada vez mais o mercado. (http://www.gamedev.net).&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Enfim, estou começando a utilizar o twitter (@gamersjc) e começarei a postar novidades por lá tb, vou tentar ser mais eficiente nisso agora.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;E passarei a postar diariamente agora no blog, quero começar a colocar a atualizar esse cara que faz tempo que não faço isso e está em minha lista de promessas para 2011.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Recentemente joguei o GT5 para PS3 e cheguei em algumas conclusões: O jogo parece que ainda não foi finalizado, muita coisa parece que não ficou acabada, como as colisões, os carros e a IA dos adversários.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Mas falando em gráficos, o jogo merece os parabéns. Ficou muito bem acabado, principalmente algumas pistas em cidades como Madrid e Roma. Parece que vc está dentro da cidade mesmo! Faltou adicionar o autódromo de Interlagos, isso seria fantástico.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;O menu eu achei um pouco confuso, tem muitas opções que inicialmente que vc se perde um pouco. Entretanto o jogo explica rapidamente cada opção e o que precisa ser feito para habilitar determinados eventos.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Em termos de jogabilidade, eu achei os controles bem sensíveis, principalmente quando joga em modelos como o Kart, aliás, nas corridas de kart achei que ficou faltando o efeito quando vc passa sobre a gincane. No primeiro start (que é o caso), Cygwin irá configurar sua pasta home (user) nomeando como seu nome de usuário da sessão do Windows.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Se tudo ocorreu certo, será exibido um terminal de comando, como na figura seguinte:&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Se não tiver problemas, digite o seguinte comando: &lt;code&gt;gcc&lt;/code&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Se vc recebeu a seguinte mensagem: &lt;code&gt;gcc: no input files&lt;/code&gt;, então está tudo certo.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Nota : Se vc obteve &lt;code&gt;gcc : command not found&lt;/code&gt;, isto significa que vc esqueceu de instalar a package Devel durante a instalação do Cygwin. Reinicie a instalação do Cygwin com a package Devel (e wget).&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;span style="font-weight:bold;"&gt;B.3) Instalação do Toolchain&lt;/span&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Para instalar o toolchain, nos precisamos obtê-lo no servidor SVN ps2dev.(www.ps2dev.org)&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;O que é SVN ?&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;SVN é a abreviação de Subversion.  Subversion é um software livre para gerenciar versões de programas/bibliotecas. Pode-se pesquisar e baixar as mais novas versões de um programa/biblioteca especifíco sem considerar a versão atual.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;span style="font-weight:bold;"&gt;Download do Toolchain&lt;/span&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Para fazer o download do toolchain, vc apenas precisa digitar o seguinte comando:&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;code&gt;svn co svn://svn.ps2dev.org/psp/trunk/psptoolchain&lt;/code&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;no prompt de comando do Cygwin.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;span style="font-weight:bold;"&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Instalação do Toolchain&lt;/span&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Antes de instalar o toolchain, nos precisamos editar um arquivo. Abra este diretório (com o Windows explorer)&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;CYGWIN_HOME&gt;/home/&lt;YOUR_USERNAME&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Onde &lt;cygwin_home&gt; é o diretório de instalação do cygwin e &lt;your_username&gt; é o nome do seu usuário na sessão do Windows. (Ex.: c:/cygwin/home/victor)&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Neste diretório, edite (ou crie se não existir) o arquivo &lt;code&gt;.bash_profile&lt;/code&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Insira ao final do arquivo as seguintes linhas:&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;code&gt;&lt;br /&gt;export PSPDEV=/usr/local/pspdev&lt;br /&gt;export PATH=$PATH:$PSPDEV/bin&lt;br /&gt;&lt;/code&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Salve este arquivo. Reinicie o Cygwin.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Agora, podemos prosseguir com a instalação do toolchain.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Observação : A instalação do toolchain necessita da Internet que precisa estar ativa durante todo o processo. Portanto, não disconecte da Internet durante o processo.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Digite no prompt de comando, as seguintes linhas:&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;code&gt;&lt;br /&gt;cd psptoolchain&lt;br /&gt;./toolchain.sh&lt;br /&gt;&lt;/code&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;O script de instalação (toolchain.sh) se iniciou. Na primeira vez, o script está checando se todos os componentes necessários estão corretamente instalados e presentes.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Depois, respectivamente, o script baixa os arquivos, os descompacta/extrai, e atualiza alguns binários para torná-los compatíveis com as instruções do PSP.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;span style="font-weight:bold;"&gt;AVISO : Este processo é muuito longo, não se supreenda. Isto pode levar 2 horas para máquinas de alta-performance (e com uma boa conexão de internet) até 5 ou 6 horas para outros.&lt;/span&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Tão logo a instalação esteja terminada, vc estará apto a compilar seus códigos no PSP. Contudo, muitas bibliotecas, mais ou menos úteis ainda não foram instaladas. Tentarei detalhar o máximo possível sobre como instalar as ferramentas necessárias para começar a programar sem muita dor de cabeça.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Lembrando que no final de cada post terá uma seção de links onde foram referenciados ao longo do tutorial. Bom, vamos ao que interessa.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Por este tutorial utilizarmos o Windows, precisaremos instalar o Cygwin&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;A) Instalação do Cygwin&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Inicialmente devemos instalar o Cygwin, basta baixar do site [1] e executá-lo.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;1 - Na primeira janela, será exibido algumas informações de copyrights e tal. Clique em "Next".&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;2 - Na segunda parte, selecione o item "Install from Internet". Clique em "Next"&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;3 - Selecione o diretório onde será instalado o Cygwin, se quiser manter o default, clique em "Next".&lt;br /&gt;Caso contrário, altere o valor do campo "Root directory" clicando em "Browse".&lt;br /&gt;Será exibido uma janela para escolha do diretório desejado, clique em "OK" e depois clique em "Next".&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;OBS.: Manter as opções default dos outros campos. Para a instalação será necessário de 3/4 GB de espaço em disco.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;4 - Selecione o diretório onde serão baixados os arquivos temporários no campo "Select Local Package Directory", depois de instalado o Cygwin, este diretório pode ser deletado. Clique em "Next";&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;5 - Selecione sua conexão com a Internet mais apropriada. Você pode deixar a opção "Direct Connection", mas se por alguma razão, você precisar de algum proxy, escolha "Use HTTP/FTP Proxy" e preencha todos os campos necessários. Clique em "Next";&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;6 - Nesta janela, você deve escolher o servidor para baixar os pacotes. Selecione apenas um e clique em "Next";&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Dica: Use um servidor próximo de sua localidade (por exemplo, se você mora no Brasil, escolha .br)&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Obs.: Caso o servidor que você escolheu retornar com erro, apenas volte para o passo anterior e selecione um outro servidor.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;7 - Este passo agora é o mais importante, pois deve-se escolher os pacotes necessários para a execução do Cygwin.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;8 - Clique sobre o pequeno símbolo nas linhas Devel, Base e Editors. Isto irá mudá-los de Default para Install.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;9 - Clique sobre o ícone [+] da seção Web, isto irá expandí-lo em diversos sub-ítens, procure pela package wget e clique sobre a caixa para selecioná-lo.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;10 - Pronto, agora clique em "Next". A instalação do Cygwin é feita em dois passos: primeiro, download os pacotes e então os instala. Isto pode levar um bom tempo, dependendo da sua conexão com a Internet e do seu próprio computador;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;FAQ - Troubleshotting&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Pergunta: Houve a seguinte mensagem durante a fase de download: Download Incomplete.&lt;br /&gt;Resposta: Tente novamente e se continuar o problema, basta mudar seu servidor/mirror.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Pergunta: O programa de instalação pergunta se você deseja instalar por outros pacotes necessários para instalar os pacotes que você escolheu.&lt;br /&gt;Resposta: Clique "OK" e continue o processo.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Pergunta: Iniciei a instalação e cheguei a fazer o download dos pacotes, mas durante a fase de instalação dos pacotes, precisei parar a instalação.
